This exhibition, which ran from 2000 to 2001, displayed examples of technology transferred from the European Space Agency's (ESA) space programmes. The mannequin figure wears an Analogous Biomedical Recorder suit containing sensors that monitor an astronaut's movements while in space. This one was worn by ESA astronaut Thomas Reiter during the Euromir 95 mision to the Mir space station. The technology is now being used to monitor the body movements of premature babies.
