Photograph of a biplane flying at dusk taken on the final day of the Wolverhampton Flying Meeting organised by the Midland aero Club and held at Wolverhampton racecourse, Dunstall Park between 27th June and 2nd July 1910. One of the earliest aviation meetings to be organised in Britain, the Wolverhampton Flying Meeting attracted a crowd of some 20,000 spectators on its opening day. Unfortunately the amount of actual flying was considerably limited by a combination of poor weather and a dispute between the organisers and participating aviators over the latter's hotel expenses.
