Description
Uniform items worn by staff members of the Royal Train, c 1997. The tie 'admits the wearer into an exclusive group of people whose actions and endeavours have been loyally dedicated to the provision of a standard of service to the highest attainable levels'. Blue and maroon ties are for '10 Royal Train journeys or 2 years service directly linked to Royal Train activities'. The black tie is for Wolverton staff, and the green Asociate tie for those who maintain and operate the train. The patch is for staff members. 200 sets of tiepins and cufflinks are in existence.
