image details

Description
This shows the launch of a Skylark solid fuel sounding rocket from Woomera in Australia. First launched in February 1957, Skylark used a main Raven motor with various boost motors. It was used regularly, mainly by British and European experimenters, until the 1980s and one-off launches were still being made in the 1990s.
