First introduced in 1950, the Asociated Equipment Company's (aeC) Regal IV was a groundbreaking bus design in that it had the engine under the floor. This one and a half decker version with a Park Royal body was owned by British European Airways (BEA) and operated on their behalf by London Transport as an airport coach.
