Celebrating the centenary of the opening of the Stockton & Darlington Railway line, 1925. The Stockton & Darlington Railway locomotive 'Locomotion No 1' hauling a train of chaldron coal wagons and a passenger carriage at the North Eastern Railway's (NER) cavalcade. 'Locomotion' had hauled the Stockton & Darlington Railway's first train on 27 September 1825. Official NER photograph.
